President's Report

The President, Dr. Linus Ang, presented a report for the shortened period from August 2025 to January 2026, arising from the decision to bring the AGM forward to better align the Society’s governance and reporting cycle with the January–December membership year. Key highlights included the official approval and registration of the Society’s new logo, the launch of the new official webpage to strengthen digital presence and member engagement, the continued efforts to enhance international standing through participation in the International Congress on Acoustics (ICA) 2031 hosting bid, and the in-principle approval to join the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE) as a Society Member.

The Society also successfully organised two technical seminars featuring international and local speakers, updated its registered virtual business address, and recorded modest membership growth. The President concluded by thanking committee members and supporters, emphasising the importance of timely membership fee payment as the Society’s primary source of revenue, and encouraging continued member participation to support the Society’s growth and long-term sustainability.

Financial Report

The Honorary Treasurer, Dr. Vincent Hii, presented the Financial Report for the financial year, highlighting that the Society remains in a strong and stable financial position. Income was derived primarily from membership subscriptions, event-related activities, and interest from bank deposits, while expenditures were mainly related to administrative, digital, and event-related needs. The Society recorded a surplus for the year, maintained healthy cash reserves, and reported no liabilities, reflecting prudent financial management and continued financial stability to support ongoing and future activities.

Post-AGM Dinner

The evening concluded with a networking dinner, providing members with a relaxed setting to reconnect and explore potential opportunities for growth together.
